We welcome members of other synagogues to belong to our community too.

Am I welcome at TBI services and events without a membership?

Absolutely! We always welcome guests with open arms, whether or not they have joined as members. The associate membership program is a response to some of our frequent guests who may have already found a Jewish home elsewhere but are still a part of our community and want to contribute in a way that is meaningful to them.

What is an associate membership?

Associate membership is a discounted membership option for those who have a primary relationship with another synagogue but want to belong to TBI as well. Most of our associate members attend High Holiday services and religious schools outside of TBI, while joining in some of our Shabbat and holiday programs. Many associate members have family ties to TBI, and observe yahrzeit for deceased family members with us.

How is it different from a full membership?

Associate membership does not include High Holiday tickets, and families with an associate membership are not eligible to enroll in TBI's Torah School or to participate in TBI's Bar/Bat Mitzvah program.

We welcome guests, friends and family to spend the High Holidays with us by buying High Holiday tickets or considering a full membership to TBI. Some of our High Holiday events (such as the 2nd day Rosh Hashanah services) are open to the community and don't require tickets, and associate members often attend these services.

What are the conditions for becoming an associate member?

In order to join TBI as an associate member, you should be a member in good standing at another synagogue.

In order to set up or renew an associate membership, please contact us directly at membership@tbila.org
